Whether you are looking for short-term, long-term, or temp-to-perm opportunities, this role provides a variety of flexible and rewarding positions for the right candidates.About the Role:As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will be a key member of the school team, supporting students academically, emotionally, and behaviourally. The role offers a great mix of duties, and you'll be able to gain experience in different educational settings. Your responsibilities will include: 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, and academic needs. Leading and supporting interventions for students who are struggling in certain subject areas. Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and ensuring all students are engaged and progressing. Helping students with their emotional wellbeing, encouraging self-confidence and personal growth. Implementing the school's behaviour policy, promoting positive behaviour and supporting students in managing their conduct. Being adaptable to different school environments and responding to the evolving needs of each school.Available Roles: Long-Term: For those looking for a more stable role, we have long-term positions with schools that need consistent, reliable support. Temp-to-Perm: Some roles may start as temporary assignments but could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. Full-Time: We are particularly keen to recruit full-time staff who are available for a consistent work schedule.About You:We are looking for candidates who: Hold a UK Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Education, Psychology, or a curriculum-related field). Have previous experience working in a school setting within the last 2 years. This could include tutoring, teaching assistant work, or other related roles. Have a strong interest in education and a passion for helping students succeed both academically and emotionally. Are adaptable, proactive, and able to hit the ground running in a variety of classroom settings. Have the resilience to handle challenges and a commitment to providing consistent support to students. Can confidently implement and support the school's behaviour policy. Have a DBS on the Update Service and can provide two years of professional references.Why Aspire People?
