Location: Basildon, Essex
Contract: Long-Term Contract (01/09/2026 - 23/07/2027) with the opportunity to become permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: 90 - 105 per day (dependent on experience)

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a caring and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Basildon. The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance
  Build positive and trusting relationships that encourage engagement and confidence
  Work alongside teachers to support learning within the classroom
  Deliver targeted interventions and strategies to promote positive behaviour
  Help pupils develop social skills, resilience and self-regulation techniques
  Support the implementation of individual behaviour support plans
  Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or youth work setting
  Demonstrates patience, empathy and a calm approach when managing challenging situations
  Is confident building positive relationships with pupils from a range of backgrounds
  Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  Can adapt their approach to meet individual pupil needs
  Is passionate about supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
  Remains positive, proactive and solution-focused
