Fabricator Welder

Job Purpose

To carry out fabrication and welding of carbon and stainless-steel pipework, frameworks, supports, and associated components, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld pipework, steel frameworks, supports, and channels.

• Perform TIG, MMA, socket, and butt welding.

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and GA drawings.

• Use fabrication equipment including grinders, bandsaws, pillar drills, and plasma cutters.

• Maintain high standards of quality, health, and safety.

• Occasionally work away from home on site-based projects.

• Assist with other engineering duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' welding and fabrication experience.

• Competent in TIG and MMA welding.

• Experience with socket and butt welding.

• Ability to work from engineering drawings.

• Relevant welding/fabrication qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).

• Knowledge of ASME IX and BS EN ISO 9606-1 standards.

• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
