We are currently recruiting for 2 Facilities Operatives to support a specialist education trust across multiple sites in Sunderland and Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and proactive individuals who take pride in maintaining safe, secure, and well-presented environments. The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational needs of various education settings across the Trust.
The Role
- Carry out general site maintenance and repairs.
- Support the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities across multiple locations.
- Undertake health and safety checks and report any concerns.
- Assist with site security, opening and closing procedures where required.
- Support with room setups, deliveries, and movement of equipment.
- Ensure sites remain clean, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Travel between sites across Sunderland and Newcastle as required.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle is essential.
- Previous facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or site support experience is desirable.
- Good practical and DIY skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work across multiple locations.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
