Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September 2026 (Autumn Term)
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ilkeston, who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time maternity cover basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a positive impact within a vibrant Key Stage 2 setting. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress effectively.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
• Has excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Is committed to raising standards and promoting pupil achievement.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Has a passion for creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences.
