Fabricator Welder

Job Purpose

To carry out fabrication and welding of carbon and stainless-steel pipework, frameworks, supports, and associated components, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

*

Fabricate and weld pipework, steel frameworks, supports, and channels.

*

Perform TIG, MMA, socket, and butt welding.

*

Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and GA drawings.

*

Use fabrication equipment including grinders, bandsaws, pillar drills, and plasma cutters.

*

Maintain high standards of quality, health, and safety.

*

Occasionally work away from home on site-based projects.

*

Assist with other engineering duties as required.

Skills & Experience

*

Minimum 5 years' welding and fabrication experience.

*

Competent in TIG and MMA welding.

*

Experience with socket and butt welding.

*

Ability to work from engineering drawings.

*

Relevant welding/fabrication qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).

*

Knowledge of ASME IX and BS EN ISO 9606-1 standards.

*

Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
