An exciting opportunity has become available for an SEN Teacher - Lewisham to join a specialist secondary school on a full-time basis with a September start available.

This full-time SEN Teacher - Lewisham role is ideal for a passionate and adaptable teacher looking to make a meaningful impact working with young adults with additional needs in a specialist setting.

The successful SEN Teacher - Lewisham will work with students with autism and moderate learning difficulties, delivering a practical and engaging curriculum focused on life skills, communication, employability, and preparation for adulthood.

About the Role

The SEN Teacher - Lewisham will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet the varying needs of Secondary learners within a structured and therapeutic environment.

Daily responsibilities for the SEN Teacher - Secondary may include:

  • Delivering functional English, Maths, and life skills sessions
  • Preparing students for independent living and future employment
  • Creating engaging and accessible learning opportunities
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists
  • Monitoring student progress and wellbeing

This SEN Teacher - Lewisham role would suit a teacher with previous SEN experience who is confident working within a specialist environment.

  • Experience with autism and MLD is highly desirable
