Trust Education are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in the S75 area of Barnsley from September 2026 until December 2026.

This part-time role is mornings only and would suit somebody passionate about supporting young learners during a crucial stage of their education. The school is looking for a proactive and nurturing individual who can help create a positive and engaging learning environment within Key Stage 1.

• Supporting the Year 2 class teacher during morning lessons
• Working with small groups and individual pupils
• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development needs

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Ideally hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification
• Be confident supporting children within KS1
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
