Position: Refuse Collection Driver

Location: Wandsworth

Working Hours: 6 am to 3 pm, Monday - Friday

Employment Type: Full Time - Temporary

What You'll Do:

As a Refuse Collection Driver, you'll be an integral part of our mission to keep the environment clean and safe. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Driving: Safely operate a refuse collection vehicle with a valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.

Refuse Loading: Support refuse loaders during collections to ensure timely route completion.

Collections: Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, utilising your knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.

Safety First: Employ safe lifting and handling techniques for all articles left for removal.

Tech Savvy: Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed, keeping up with real-time updates.

Paperwork: Complete relevant paperwork promptly and accurately.

Vehicle Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of machinery and vehicles before and after use, reporting any issues.

Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of all machinery and vehicles.

Customer Relations: Foster excellent relationships with the public and other motor users, ensuring a positive experience for all.What You'll Need to Succeed:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).

Driver CPC certification.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated and willing to assist your team.

Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various tasks.
