About the Role

Supporting pupils through individualised learning activities tailored to their needs and abilities
Developing positive and professional relationships with both students and colleagues
Adhering to safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns in line with school policy
Recognising signs of dysregulation and supporting students to access appropriate interventions when required
Promoting positive behaviour through consistency, encouragement, and structured routines
Recording and communicating relevant information with teaching staff and families
Supporting pupils across different age groups and areas of the school as required

Ideal Candidate Profile
Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential
Candidates from care, support work, residential care, or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties, Autism, SEND, or behaviours that may challenge, either professionally or personally
A willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
Able to bring enthusiasm and energy to the role while remaining calm and composed when supporting students through challenging moments
Comfortable providing personal care where required
Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential
Psychology graduates and candidates with SEND-related qualifications are welcomed
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the location of the school

Why Work with Long Term Futures?

Weekly pay through a hassle-free digital payroll system
Free access to CPD, including Autism Awareness, SEMH, Behaviour Management, and Positive Handling training
