EYFS Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)

Location: Mitcham, London Borough of Merton

Contract: Term Time Only

Sanza are seeking a warm, nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team in Mitcham.

This is a rewarding role at the heart of the school's early years provision, supporting young children to thrive during their first steps in education - helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will:

Support children's learning and development across the 7 areas of the EYFS curriculum.

Assist with play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors.

Observe and contribute to assessments and Learning Journey records.

Support children with personal care, including toileting and feeding where required.

Work with individuals and small groups, including children with SEND.

Help maintain a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Contribute to the school's safeguarding procedures and promote pupil wellbeing.

The school are looking for someone who:

Is caring, patient and passionate about early years education.

Has experience of working with young children, ideally in an EYFS setting.

Holds or is working towards a relevant childcare or education qualification.

Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
