Monday to Friday | 08:00 - 16:00

Circa £31,500 per annum | Paid Weekly

Must have own vehicle and full UK driving licence (mileage paid)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a busy repairs and maintenance team in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter (NVQ Level 2) looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with weekly pay and varied work.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within occupied properties, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties include:

Repairs and maintenance to internal and external doors, frames, locks and hinges

Installation and repair of skirting boards, architraves and kitchen units

Flooring repairs and minor joinery works

Diagnosing faults and determining the most appropriate repair solution

Completing repairs on a right-first-time basis wherever possible

Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Communicating professionally with tenants and keeping them updated on repairs

Accurately recording job information using handheld devices or job management systems

Working collaboratively with other trades and support teams

Reporting any safeguarding concerns identified during visits

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification

Proven experience in responsive repairs or property maintenance

Multi-skilled experience is advantageous

Good understanding of health and safety procedures, including COSHH and risk assessments

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Flexible and proactive approach to work
