Breakfast Club & After School Club Playworker

KT17 Area

Part-Time Term Time Only

£15.00 per hour

TeacherActive is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club and After School Club Playworkers to support a number of primary schools across the KT17 area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for flexible, rewarding work within a school setting. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and engaging children in a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment before and after the school day.

As this role involves working across multiple schools, candidates must be adaptable, punctual, and confident working with children of varying ages and needs.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school, childcare, or club setting
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
• The ability to create engaging activities and maintain a safe environment
• Excellent safeguarding awareness

Desirable:

• Paediatric First Aid (PFA) qualification
• Previous experience working in Breakfast Clubs, After School Clubs, Holiday Clubs, or educational settings

Duties may include:

• Supervising children during breakfast and after-school sessions
• Organising and leading age-appropriate activities
• Supporting children's social and emotional development
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Assisting with the setup and tidying of club areas
