Job Summary Senior Robotic Process Automation

We are seeking a highly capable Senior UiPath AI Automation Lead with strong experience across the UiPath Business Automation Platform, particularly within AI-powered automation technologies. This role combines technical leadership, intelligent automation delivery, and live service ownership. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of automation developers, drive the adoption of AI-enabled solutions, and oversee the support and maintenance of intelligent automation services in production.

The role will focus heavily on leveraging UiPath's AI capabilities, including Communications Mining, Document Understanding, AI Center, Agentic Automation, and Generative AI technologies, to transform business processes and unlock efficiencies from unstructured data sources. While this is a leadership role, the postholder will remain hands-on and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions where required.

Strong experience with UiPath Studio and Orchestrator is essential, alongside practical experience implementing AI-driven automation solutions across the wider UiPath ecosystem.

• Lead and support a team of Intelligent Automation developers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day direction.
• Support with the organisation's AI automation strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage AI and intelligent document processing capabilities.
• Design, build, test, and deploy intelligent automation solutions using UiPath Studio, AI Center, Document Understanding, Communications Mining, and Agentic Automation capabilities.
• Remain hands-on where required, contributing directly to the delivery of priority automation and AI initiatives.
• Manage automation execution, scheduling, assets, queues, models, and environments through UiPath Orchestrator.
• Take ownership of live intelligent automation solutions, ensuring they remain operational, performant, and continuously improved.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues arising within AI-driven automations, including model performance, extraction accuracy, classification outcomes, and production incidents.
• Monitor and optimise machine learning models, extraction frameworks, and communications classification performance to maximise business value.
• Lead the implementation of Document Understanding solutions, including classification, extraction, validation, and continuous model improvement.
• Design and implement Communications Mining solutions to analyse, classify, and route large volumes of unstructured communications such as emails, forms, and correspondence.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation can deliver measurable efficiencies and service improvements.
• Develop scalable and maintainable intelligent automation solutions that combine AI capabilities with traditional workflow automation.
• Utilise UiPath Data Service and modern data management practices to support AI-enabled automation solutions.
• Work with UiPath Insights and analytics platforms to measure automation adoption, AI model effectiveness, and business outcomes.
• Support governance, model lifecycle management, documentation, and operational handover of AI-enabled solutions into live support.
• Collaborate within Agile delivery teams and participate in planning, demos, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Experience Senior Robotic Process Automation

• Strong hands-on experience with UiPath Studio and Orchestrator, including end-to-end solution delivery.
• Experience leading or mentoring developers, with the ability to provide technical direction and oversee delivery quality.
• Proven experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting live RPA solutions in production.
• Strong working knowledge of REFramework, selectors, assets, queues, triggers, and error handling.
• Proficient in VB.NET and/or C#.
• Experience with API integration, SQL, and Excel/XML file handling.
• Clear understanding of UiPath deployment models, production support, and operational management of automations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, especially when explaining solutions to non-technical users and coordinating across teams.
• Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with occasional hands-on development work.

Preferred Qualifications Senior Robotic Process Automation

• UiPath Certified RPA Developer Associate or Advanced.
• Experience with any of the following:
• UiPath Communications Mining
• UiPath AI Center / Document Understanding
• UiPath Data Service (for persistent entity storage)
• Exposure to Git or Azure DevOps pipelines in the context of UiPath.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
