Freelance Setting Out Engineer – Net Zero Infrastructure Project – Teesside

Location: Teesside, North East England

Contract Type: Freelance / CIS

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a major Net Zero infrastructure scheme in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark project that will play a key role in the UK's transition to a low-carbon economy.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out setting out and surveying duties across the project site.

Ensure works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design drawings and specifications.

Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-built surveys, and quality documentation.

Liaise closely with Site Managers, Subcontractors, and the Project Team.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and tolerances.

Assist with quality assurance processes and technical problem-solving on site.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on major civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.

Competent in the use of Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction specifications.

Experience producing as-built records and quality documentation.

CSCS Card essential.

SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
