SEND Teaching Assistant – Leicestershire

We are currently working a fantastic SEND school in Leicestershire who is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for both temp-to-perm and permanent positions.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop key life skills, and reach their full potential in supportive and nurturing school environments.

What the role involves:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assist with learning activities tailored to individual needs

Help promote independence, communication, and emotional development

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

What we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND

A kind, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Empathy, compassion, and emotional resilience

A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
