Senior Internal Auditor (ISO 9001) - Contract

📍 Staffordshire (On-site/Hybrid)

💰 £47-£52 per hour

📅 July 2026 - December 2026

An established organisation within the energy/infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to support a major project programme.

The Role

You will take ownership of delivering an internal audit plan across a complex construction/turnkey environment, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role goes beyond compliance - you'll act as a trusted advisor, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver internal audits aligned to ISO 9001 requirements

Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction

Produce clear, concise, and solution-focused audit reports

Work closely with project managers and site teams

Promote consistent quality standards across project operations

Requirements

Strong experience in internal auditing within construction, energy, or project environments

In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
