Our Client, Stockport Council, is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their MASH Team.

This is a Hybrid Working Role!

Responsibilities of this role:

• Screen and triage incoming safeguarding referrals to assess risk and appropriate thresholds.
• Gather and analyse information from multi-agency partners (police, health, education).
• Make timely decisions on appropriate interventions (e.g., early help, Section 17, Section 47).
• Undertake rapid safeguarding checks to identify immediate risk of harm.
• Provide clear recommendations and ensure swift progression of cases to relevant teams.
• Liaise effectively with partner agencies to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
• Maintain accurate, concise records and decision-making rationale.
• Apply relevant legislation, thresholds, and safeguarding procedures.
• Ensure the child's safety and best interests are central to all decisions.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a social worker
