Qualified Nursery Practitioner

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a fantastic nursery in Colchester that is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality care and education to young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. The successful Qualified Nursery Practitioner will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing while helping to maintain the nursery's excellent standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary between £26,000 and £32,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

The role:

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and professional Qualified Nursery Practitioner who can create engaging learning experiences and support children through their early years development journey. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure every child receives the highest level of care and support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning

• Monitor, observe, and record children's progress and achievements

• Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues

• Support children's emotional, social, physical, and educational development

• Ensure the nursery environment is safe, stimulating, and inclusive

• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

• Promote positive behaviour and support children's wellbeing

• Assist with daily routines, including meal times, personal care, and outdoor learning activities

• Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the nursery

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent) is essential

• Previous experience working as a Qualified Nursery Practitioner within an early years setting

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
