Learning Support Assistant

Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed and develop confidence in their learning.

The school is looking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes within the classroom environment.

The successful applicant will work alongside class teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals to deliver targeted support, monitor progress and contribute to personalised learning strategies. The role may involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, within small groups, or as part of wider classroom provision.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working with children within a primary school setting

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including those with additional learning or communication needs

• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners

• Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare or SEND support (desirable)
