Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Chaham
Salary: £120 - £130 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Start Date: September 2026

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Priamry School in Medway. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

As a HLTA, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across the school, working with pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH).

• Lead small group interventions and occasionally cover lessons under the direction of teaching staff.

• Assist with the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to promote independence, engagement, and personal development.

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a curriculum tailored to individual needs, fostering confidence, resilience, and life skills.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

• HLTA qualification

• Have a strong understanding of SEN and experience supporting children with additional needs.

• Demonstrate resilience, patience, and excellent communication skills.

• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
