Job Description

Our client, an esteemed organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the QSSP Programme for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) until June 2027. This contract role offers the opportunity to work remotely with occasional visits to key UK-based US Airforce Sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing pre- and post-contract services, including estimating, cost planning, procurement, and cost assurance

Managing financial control across projects of varying scale and complexity

Ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with NEC3 contracts

Delivering quality outcomes for clients while identifying savings and enhancing budget utilisation

Mentoring and developing colleagues, and potentially leading projects or commercial teams

Job Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying and commercial management, particularly within Defence & Security sectors

Strong understanding and application of NEC3 contracts

Security clearance (SC) required upon application

MRICS, AssocRICS, or working towards professional accreditation

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proactive, solutions-focused, and motivated to progress your career

Croughton

Fairford (includes Barford and Welford)

Mildenhall (includes Alconbury and Molesworth, Ruislip)

Our client works closely with the DIO, generally as part of an embedded co-located team at major bases such as Fairford, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, and Croughton, with a hybrid presence at other locations.
