Job Title: Freelance Supervisor - Earthworks
Location: Tuddenham, Norfolk
Start Date: ASAP (Target start: 29/06/2026)
Contract Duration: 8 months
Rate: 26 per hour
Weekly Hours: 50-70 hours per week
Weekend Work: Saturdays available (not essential)
Interviews: Taking place ASAP

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Supervisor with strong earthworks experience to join a long-term infrastructure project based in Tuddenham, Norfolk. This is an 8 month freelance contract offering consistent hours and the opportunity for increased shifts from March onwards.
This role is freelance only and not available on a permanent or PAYE basis.
The successful candidate will oversee earthworks operations on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

• 
  Supervising earthworks activities including bulk excavation, cut & fill, and ground preparation
• 
  Managing site operatives and subcontractors
• 
  Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and site procedures
• 
  Overseeing safe digging practices and service avoidance
• 
  Monitoring productivity and maintaining programme targets
• 
  Conducting site briefings and toolbox talks
• 
  Coordinating plant, labour and materials effectively

• 
  Proven experience supervising earthworks operations (essential)
• 
  SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)
• 
  EUSR certification (essential)
• 
  CAT & Genny trained (essential)
• 
  CSCS Gold Card (essential)
• 
  Strong understanding of safe systems of work and service detection
• 
  Ability to commit to 50-70 hours per week
