Assembly Operative

Shift Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights (Monday-Thursday)
Temporary Ongoing with a view to go permanent

Metalis Engineering are currently working alongside a manufacturer in Sheffield who due to high demand are now looking for a Assembly Operative to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established industrial business offering a stable shift pattern, competitive rates of pay, and regular overtime opportunities.

• Operate workshop machinery, including lathes and saws, ensuring safe and efficient production at all times.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, adjust, and reset guiding equipment in line with operational requirements.
• Safely handle, move, and transport materials, components, and equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve minor equipment or process issues, helping to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
• Use measuring instruments such as verniers and micrometres to verify product quality, while adhering to all health, safety, and PPE requirements.

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery, grinding, polishing, or finishing equipment
• Assemblt experience
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Consistent shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, Monday-Thursday
• Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
