Registered Manager

• Location: Stockport, SK2
• Job Type: Temporary Contract, Full-time, Hybrid
• Salary: £40 - £45 per hour

We are excited to offer an opportunity to lead one of Stockport Council's children's homes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating a nurturing and stable environment for children and young people, ensuring they feel safe, cared for, and able to thrive. As a Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the home and in developing a reflective, supportive staff team focused on safeguarding and positive outcomes.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead the overall management and daily operations of the children's home.
• Create and maintain a warm, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
• Develop and support a team that prioritises relationships, safeguarding, and positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with a network of Registered Managers, Deputies, and residential staff to enhance the quality of children's homes across Stockport.
• Engage in strategic planning and implementation to continuously improve service quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Residential Worker, ready to step into a managerial role.
• Strong leadership qualities with a focus on warmth, resilience, and creativity in residential childcare.
• Deep understanding of the importance of relationships, stability, and trauma-informed care.
• Emotional intelligence and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
• Alignment with Stockport's values and a team-oriented approach to residential service management.
