Chef Lecturer (Part-Time 0.8)

Salary: £26.43 - £28.67 per hourHours: 0.8 (Part-Time)Location: Birmingham

Reed Further Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across professional cookery programmes up to Level 3. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional looking to inspire and develop the next generation of chefs within a Further Education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging theory and practical cookery sessions up to Level 3
  • Plan, deliver and review learning programmes and curriculum content
  • Monitor and track student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Provide academic and pastoral support as a course leader
  • Carry out assessments including initial assessments, feedback, and progress reviews
  • Maintain accurate student records including ILPs and tracking systems
  • Support students with study skills, exam preparation, and progression
  • Contribute to enrichment activities, work placements, and trips
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and teaching standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching delivery

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering or training within professional cookery or hospitality
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills
  • Ability to support learners with a range of needs
