Protocol Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Telford that’s looking for a passionate Maths Teacher to join their team. This is a school where students are encouraged to aim high, support each other, and feel proud of who they are.
At the heart of the school are three simple but powerful values: Ambition, Respect, and Courage. These aren’t just words on a display board, they’re part of everyday life. From the way students approach challenges to the way staff support one another, there’s a real sense of community and belonging.
This is a school that understands every student has their own strengths and story. Staff are encouraged to help young people grow in confidence, develop resilience, and discover what they’re capable of. Academic success matters, but so do relationships, wellbeing, and preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
Your role
As a Maths Teacher, you’ll be helping students see that Maths is more than numbers on a page. You’ll bring lessons to life, whether you’re exploring algebra, geometry, statistics, or problem-solving, helping pupils understand the “how” and the “why”, not just memorising the answer.
You’ll be part of a supportive department where ideas are shared, teachers are trusted, and everyone plays a part in helping students succeed.
You’ll be:
• Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students
• Building confidence and positive relationships in the classroom
• Supporting students to make progress academically and personally
• Working alongside a collaborative and experienced Maths team
• Getting involved in the wider life of the school community
Why you’ll love this school
• A beautiful countryside setting with a calm and welcoming atmosphere
• Students who are respectful, curious, and ready to learn
• A strong enrichment programme with clubs, activities, and opportunities beyond the classroom
• A culture built around kindness, encouragement, and high expectations
• Supportive leaders who value your ideas, wellbeing, and professional growth
The school also celebrates its connection to Olympic values, championing friendship, excellence, and respect. Teachers are trusted to do what they do best, creating great lessons and building meaningful relationships with young people.
What we’re looking for
• UK QTS or strong experience teaching Maths in a secondary school
• Someone who enjoys making Maths engaging and accessible
• High expectations combined with a calm and consistent approach
• A team player who wants to make a real difference to students’ lives
