This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the past to life, deliver engaging lessons, and help young people develop a deep understanding of historical events and concepts.

As a History Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)

• Teaching a broad and engaging curriculum covering key historical periods, events, and themes

• Developing students' critical thinking, analytical, and evaluative skills

• Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback

• Embedding key skills such as chronology, interpretation, and source analysis

• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Working collaboratively with department colleagues and pastoral teams

• Supporting enrichment opportunities such as study sessions or themed projects

You'll have the opportunity to work in different school settings, allowing you to find the environment that best matches your teaching style.

• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting

• Strong subject knowledge and passion for historical study

• A proactive, organised, and enthusiastic approach

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Two professional references covering the last 2 years
