Nursery Assistant
Full-Time Permanent Position
Colchester, Essex

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and nurturing nursery in the Colchester area. The nursery is currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

• Supporting the day-to-day care, learning, and development of children aged 0 5 years
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
• Supporting children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Assisting with daily routines, including meal times, personal care, and outdoor play
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding throughout the nursery

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, childcare, or educational setting is desirable
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
• A positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is desirable
• An Early Years qualification is advantageous but not essential

Essential Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Satisfactory references covering the last two years
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• A professional and reliable approach to work
