Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Platers to join a major industrial new-build project in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with consistent hours on a high-profile site.

Core Responsibilities

* Marking out, fabricating, and assembling steel plate and structural components

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication details

* Cutting, shaping, and preparing materials in line with specifications

* Carrying out tack welding and fitting duties where required

* Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards

* Working closely with welders, supervisors, and other trades on site

What We’re Looking For

* NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent

* Valid CCNSG Safety Passport / ACE Card

* Proven experience within industrial or heavy engineering environments

* Ability to read and work from detailed technical drawings

* Strong understanding of health & safety procedures on site

* Reliable, team-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision

Additional Information

* 10-hour shifts on an 11-day fortnight rotation
