QA Tester
Telford (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite per Week)
340 per day (Inside IR35)
6-Month Contract
Active SC Clearance

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a high-profile programme delivering complex data and technology solutions within a secure environment.

This is a hands-on testing role where you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and reporting on both manual and automated testing activities. You'll work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure quality standards are met throughout the delivery lifecycle.

As a QA Tester, you will:

• Define and document test approaches and testing strategies.
• Create and maintain test coverage and traceability matrices.
• Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts.
• Perform Functional System Testing and Integration Testing.
• Support End-to-End (E2E) testing activities.
• Prepare and manage test data requirements.
• Identify, investigate, and track defects through to resolution.
• Produce regular test status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Apply Risk-Based Testing principles to maximise test effectiveness.
• Collaborate with development teams, business users, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

• Active SC Clearance (essential)
• ISTQB Foundation Certification
• Strong experience in Functional System Testing
• Experience with test automation
• Proficiency with testing tools such as Postman
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Strong understanding of Risk-Based Testing methodologies
• Experience testing Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Migration projects
• Strong SQL and database testing skills (Oracle or similar)
• AWS experience
• Experience producing Test Approach and Test Completion documentation
• Proficiency with Jira, Zephyr Scale, Git, or similar tools
• ETL testing experience
• Integration Testing experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Denodo experience
• Experience working on large-scale data transformation programmes
• Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments
