We're working with a forward-thinking digital organisation that's growing its technology team as it continues to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions. You'll join a collaborative engineering group where innovation, ownership, and technical excellence are encouraged every day.
As a Back End Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable back-end services. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, contributing ideas and technical insight across the full development lifecycle.

What You'll Do
Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable backend services.
Contribute to architectural decisions and suggest new tools, frameworks, or best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Delivery.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
Continuously improve processes and advocate for quality through Agile practices.
Ensure clean, testable, and well-documented code.

You'll be working primarily with:
Python (application framework, application framework)
public cloud platform (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.)
database platform, Opensearch
container orchestration platform, deployment packaging tooling, infrastructure-as-code tooling
source-control and CI/CD tooling for version control

What You'll Need
Strong experience developing back-end systems in Python (any framework).
Good understanding of databases, object-oriented design, and SOLID principles.
Experience building scalable applications using public cloud platform and cloud-native technologies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Passion for continuous improvement and sharing knowledge across teams.
