General Foreman

We have a position for a General Foreperson to manage self delivery works and sub contractors packages with a regional civil engineering contractor on a high speed road contract.

The works include embankment repairs (cut and fill) under a full closure so this will involve some traffic management of the sub contractor and 1 km of VRS to be installed. Also involves new gullies and kerbs in the layby.

These works will take place at night and require alternative weekend work.

The business have shown expertise in delivering projects nationwide on a framework basis and directly for clients.

The Site Foreman will have responsibility for running the site under a road closure, previous experience of working on high-speed road environments is desired.

Key duties:

* Deliver and manage Site briefings, toolbox talks, record keeping and Health & Safety

* Support, improve and drive the programme of works where possible

* Management of direct labour and sub-contractors

* Problem solving, logistics and end of shift reports.

Suitable candidates will require to hold SMSTS, CSCS, Safety critical medical and ideally first aid.
