Supply Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Chelmsford

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £85 - £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Chelmsford who are seeking dedicated Supply Learning Support Assistants. These schools are committed to creating inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.

The schools are looking to appoint Supply LSAs on a day-to-day basis to provide classroom support across the primary phase. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils, supporting learning, encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a nurturing classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting

• A patient, caring and supportive approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable

• A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
