Warehouse Operative - Maternity Cover (12 Months, with potential to become permanent)
Monday - Friday | 37.5 hours per week
📍 Luton (On-site)
We're working with a fast-growing ecommerce business that has more than doubled its sales over the past two years. They're now looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their friendly, hands-on team during an exciting period of expansion.
This is a practical, fast-paced role focused on warehouse operations, order fulfilment, and supporting the smooth running of daily dispatch. You'll be part of a close-knit team working on-site at their newly expanded facility.
What you'll be doing:
Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch
Producing pick lists and shipping labels using courier systems
Receiving deliveries and checking stock accuracy
Putting away stock in the correct warehouse locations
Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well organised
Supporting basic product preparation and finishing tasks
Carrying out quality checks on products and packaging
Operating a counterbalance forklift (if licensed)
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or fulfilment environment
Confident and accurate order picking and packing skills
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-moving environment
A reliable team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
Forklift experience/licence (counterbalance) desirable but not essential
