Job Title: Intervention Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85 - £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and nurturing primary school in Risca to recruit an Intervention Teaching Assistant. The school provides a fun, supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning, with staff working together to ensure every child reaches their potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Intervention Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful Intervention Teaching Assistant will work predominantly with Key Stage 2 pupils, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions, supporting children's progress and working closely with class teachers to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The successful Intervention Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to Key Stage 2 pupils
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
