Location: Chesterfield Area, Derbyshire

Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)

Contract: on going long term supply role

Start Date: September 2026

Our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Chesterfield area, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced KS2 Teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake full teaching responsibilities and play a key role in supporting pupils' academic and personal development. Responsibilities will include:

Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress, ensuring all children are supported and challenged appropriately.

Managing behaviour effectively and promoting high expectations for both learning and conduct.

Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and external agencies.

Contributing to the wider life of the school, including meetings, training and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Maintaining accurate records and completing all duties expected of a classroom teacher.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2.

Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.

Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be an enthusiastic, reflective and adaptable practitioner.
