Estimator (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Bury, Lancashire

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Start Date: 14th July 2026

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in metalwork fabrication who enjoys working closely with customers, drawings, and quotations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for customer enquiries.

* Reviewing and interpreting technical and design drawings.

* Liaising with customers regarding project requirements and specifications.

* Working closely with production and sales teams to ensure estimates are commercially competitive and achievable.

* Maintaining accurate records of quotations and project information.

* Supporting the sales process through effective communication and customer service.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous estimating experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

* Knowledge and experience of metalwork, fabrication, or sheet metal processes.

* The ability to read and interpret technical/design drawings.

* Strong commercial awareness and sales experience.

* Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills.

* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.

Working Hours

* Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm

* Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
