Operational Risk Manager

Skills & Experience Required:
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially at senior levels.
Deep technical expertise in risk management frameworks, tools, and processes.
Experience in operational risk within complex financial institutions.
Proven ability to work within high-performing teams and manage complex stakeholder communications.
Experience in the financial services or insurance sector is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and operate the framework for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks (people, process, systems, external).
Provide oversight and challenge to first-line functions, recommending improvements to the control environment.
Lead or support strategic reviews of key risk areas and contribute to regulatory engagement, particularly around operational resilience.
Ensure the organisation’s operational resilience remains within appetite and supports delivery of core services.
Deliver regular and ad hoc risk reporting to senior management and governance forums.
Support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and contribute to the broader risk framework.
Engage with senior stakeholders to gather and assess risk information, including risk appetite and register reviews.
Produce dashboards, opinion papers, and other reporting for risk committees.
Respond to ad hoc requests from senior risk leadership and support cross-functional risk initiatives.
