Financial Controller

2 Days on-site

3 - 6 Months Contract

£400 - £450 Per Day

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the core finance function, including AP and AR operations, within a dynamic housing environment. This role will take ownership of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end audit support, while driving improvements to financial processes, controls, and policies. You will play a key role in leading a transactional finance team through change, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a socially driven organisation delivering essential housing services.

Financial Controller General Responsibilities:

• Supervision of transactional finance (AR & AP)
• Lead AP and AR through a period of change
• Lead on monthly reconciliations
• Lead on month end
• Support year-end audit work
• Assist with the improvement of financial policies & procedures

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Financial Controller experience
• Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Strong people manager, can hit the ground running/self-starter
• Previous Social Housing experience
• Finance improvements experience
• Management experience (team of 6+)
