Art Teacher

• Annual Salary: Competitive, in line with Teacher Pay Scale
• Location: Lancaster
• Job Type: Full-time, Long-term - Mon - Fri
• September Start
• 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
• £168 - £232 per day

We are seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who has a strong knowledge of the curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being an advantage.
• Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
• Maintain effective classroom management skills.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Be an excellent role model, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the teaching practices and the learning environment for students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Recent relevant experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge.
• Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
• Good interpersonal skills, trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
