VAN DRIVER - Coalville, East Midlands

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Coalville, East Midlands.

This role would suitable applicants who have previously worked as a Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Courier.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday • 06:00 - 15:00

Rates of Pay:

• £12.75 per hour • Temp-to-perm opportunity

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Van Driver, your duties will include:

• Minimal handball involved • Operating and driving a van safely and efficiently • Carrying out daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle checks • Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transportation • Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly • Supporting loading and unloading duties where required • Heavy lifting may be involved depending on deliveries

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Licence • A minimum of 12 months' driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes • A good level of spoken and written English • Excellent timekeeping and reliability • A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations • Strong communication skills • Physical fitness due to the nature of the role

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience • Multi-drop delivery experience advantageous

Training:

• Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
