SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Islington

Salary: £95-£115 per day

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full Time | Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs across a range of secondary schools in Islington.

Your Responsibilities

You will:

Support students with a range of special educational needs.

Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.

Assist teachers in adapting learning materials.

Encourage independence and confidence.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback.

Help create an inclusive learning environment.

We Are Looking For

Applicants should have:

Experience working with children or young people.

Knowledge of SEN such as Autism, ADHD or Speech & Language needs.

Strong communication skills.

Patience, empathy and resilience.

A positive and proactive attitude.

An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
