HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver (C+E) - 3 Month FTCHowdon, Tyne & Wear£37,756 per annum (£16.88 per hour)Fixed Term Contract - 3 Months43 hours per week Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Northumbrian Water for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Tanker Driver based at Howdon.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the region's leading utility companies, playing a key role in supporting wastewater operations across the North East.As an HGV C+E Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting sludge products from Northumbrian Water's sewage treatment works across the North East to treatment facilities at Bran Sands and Howdon.Key responsibilities include:

• Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and O-Licence requirements
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting in line with DVSA standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant vehicle at all times
• Safely loading and unloading tanker equipment in accordance with Northumbrian Water Health & Safety procedures
• Promoting and supporting the "Everyone Home Safe Everyday" culture
• Driving in a fuel-efficient and environmentally responsible manner
• Delivering excellent service whilst representing Northumbrian Water professionally

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of EU Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
• Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance

• Tanker driving experience (full training provided if not held)
