KS1 Teacher - September start

Apply Now

Looking for your next teaching adventure? If you’re a qualified KS1 teacher who brings energy, empathy, and a big smile into the classroom, we’ve got just the role for you.

A welcoming primary school in Teesside is searching for a brilliant Year 1 Teacher to guide pupils through that all-important reception-to-Year 1 leap. You’ll be their anchor as they adjust, grow, and start building confidence as ‘big kids’ in the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Creating a classroom where learning is fun, structured, and full of encouragement

Supporting children through the transition from Early Years to KS1

Delivering lessons across the full KS1 curriculum—helping each child hit their milestones

Marking meaningfully and tracking progress to celebrate growth (and spot when extra support’s needed)

Keeping the lines of communication open—with parents, staff, and the wider team

What We’re Looking For:

✅ QTS and experience teaching in KS1 (particularly Year 1)

A creative, flexible approach to planning and delivery

Strong understanding of the national curriculum—and how to bring it to life!

Empathy and patience when navigating behaviour or transition challenges

A belief that every child deserves a tailored approach

Why Work with Protocol?

Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella deductions)

‍ A dedicated local consultant who champions your career

Access to FREE CPD including Team Teach & Thrive training

Long-term, short-term, and temp-to-perm options available

Supportive school placements that value great teaching

Think this could be your next classroom? Let’s get you in front of the right school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
