Head of Manufacturing – Outside IR35 Contract Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Manufacturing to join a leading engineering organisation on an Outside IR35 contract based in the Manchester region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior manufacturing professional to lead and drive operational performance across a complex manufacturing environment. The successful Head of Manufacturing will play a key role in shaping manufacturing strategy, improving operational efficiency and ensuring the successful delivery of business objectives.

We’re looking for an accomplished manufacturing leader with experience operating at a senior level within a high-value manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Head of Manufacturing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing activities, ensuring production performance, quality, safety and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading manufacturing operations across the business.

* Developing and implementing manufacturing strategy to support business growth.

* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and productivity.

* Managing and developing high-performing manufacturing teams.

* Ensuring compliance with quality, health & safety and regulatory standards.

* Working closely with engineering, supply chain and commercial teams to achieve operational objectives.

* Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing capability, cost and performance.

* Reporting on operational performance and delivering improvements across key manufacturing metrics.

About You

To be successful as Head of Manufacturing, you’ll bring significant leadership experience gained within a complex manufacturing environment.

We’re looking for candidates with:

* Extensive experience in a senior manufacturing leadership position.

* A proven track record of leading large-scale manufacturing operations.

* Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.

* Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

* The ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

* A strong understanding of manufacturing best practice, quality systems and health & safety requirements.

Experience within highly regulated, complex or advanced manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
