Freelance Site Manager – New Build Residential Project

Location: Edinburgh

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Until March 2027 (anticipated)

Job Type: Freelance / Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a new build residential development in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a well-established project, with work expected to run through to March 2027.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

* Coordinate subcontractors and site labour.

* Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained at all times.

* Monitor progress against programme and resolve any site issues.

* Liaise with the Project Manager, client, subcontractors and suppliers.

* Carry out site inspections, inductions and toolbox talks.

* Maintain accurate site records and reporting.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build residential projects.

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential.

* First Aid at Work – Essential.

* CSCS Card – Essential.

* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to start immediately.
