Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in South Manchester is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and qualified PE Teacher with QTS to join our successful Physical Education department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sport, fitness, and wellbeing, and who can encourage all students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of sports and physical activities
• Teach and inspire students of varying abilities in Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan engaging, inclusive, and progressive lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress effectively
• Contribute to extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and fixtures
• Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing across the school community
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety in all sporting activities

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A degree in Physical Education or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and PE disciplines
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enthusiasm for promoting sport and physical wellbeing
• The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
• A commitment to extra-curricular sport and school life
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
