Job Description

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Camden is looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their committed support team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs. You will provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual goals.

About the Role

Provide dedicated support for pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH

Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities and resources

Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and social development

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Encourage independence while supporting pupils to reach their full potential

Liaise effectively with teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a primary school

Confident supporting children with a range of additional needs

Patient, nurturing and resilient, with a calm approach to behaviour management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues

Passionate about inclusive education and helping every child succeed
