Job Title: Building Surveyor (Temporary)
Location: North London
Rate: 25 to 30 per hour PAYE
Contract: Temporary
Working Pattern: Office and site based (no hybrid working)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a local authority in North London on a temporary basis.

This role supports the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes across residential blocks, with a focus on undertaking condition surveys and producing accurate repair specifications.

This is a hands on position combining site based inspections with technical reporting.

• Carrying out external condition surveys on residential properties
• Identifying and recording building defects and areas requiring repair
• Taking photographs and accurately documenting survey findings
• Preparing repair specifications using the Schedule of Rates
• Producing clear and detailed reports to support planned maintenance works
• Managing site inspections and reporting outputs independently

• Previous experience as a Building Surveyor, ideally within social housing or a local authority setting
• Experience carrying out condition surveys and preparing repair specifications
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Schedule of Rates
• Excellent report writing skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident working independently on site

• 25 to 30 per hour PAYE
• Temporary contract
• Office based in North London, with sites approximately a 10 minute walk away
• No hybrid working
